I adore imperfect photos. My favourite photographs are when someone is looking away, another is pulling a face, the dog is licking his balls. I love them because they capture the reality; they allow others to look at that very moment in time.

This is a photo of me, my mom and my dog. It is exactly what I’m talking about. I’m strapping on my body board, my mom is bent over and Cormac, in his infinite intelligence, is digging a hole (Note: I wish I could love something as much as Cormac loves digging holes). It’s perfect in its imperfectness. It is us in our natural habitat. It shows all our blemishes and faults and graces.

By the way I know I’m a stud.
